Our Special Thanks
"The Coffs Harbour Men's Shed is built on the hard work of volunteers, and the generous donations and sponsorship of both large and small companies, governments and individuals.
We are especially grateful to the Coffs Harbour Local Council who have continually backed us with major grants and the provision of Professional advice from their staff at all levels.
Without Coffs Harbour Council's help over the years the Coffs Harbour Men's Shed would have struggled to provide the on-going service to it's members and community, and would not be in the enviable position of having one of the largest facilities in Australia. With a 20 year lease we can look forward to a continued service to the community and the people who will benefit the most, our members."

THE biggest thumbs up to the Men's Shed in Coffs Harbour.
Westmead Children's Hospital sent through a design for a table for my son, not only did they do an amazing job with it, but then they donated it, and they all couldn't be nicer, so a huge thank you to Tom Skinner who organised it, David who I picked it up off, and to the man who made it. You have no idea how much I appreciate what you have done for us.
Reply via Facebook: That's awesome! The men's shed donated a beautiful keepsake box for my baby Brendan, I love it.
TO everyone in our Community who Pays It Forward and reaches out their hand to help others in need. A very thoughtful and unselfish act.
Marcia Street Mens Shed Video by Les Grant
Over the last few years Coffs Harbour mens Shed Member Les Grant has taken some excellent footage on his Canon 5D MII. It highlights the Mens Shed work area, with members working on their projects.
As of April 2017 the Mens Shed is moving to a much larger, purpose built shed, so having this footage for the archives is a great present.
If you watch carefully you can notice a myriad of projects and techniques, with members using many of the available industry sized equipment. Indeed, there is a lot more to offer than is shown in this video. Notice the teamwork and education of younger members.
The Coffs Harbour Community Men's Shed is an important meeting place which provides a friendly environment where men of different ages and cultures come together to socialise, share life experiences and skills.

Healthy Ageing - Get Involved
Humans are social creatures and we need contact with others to feel good about life. This is more important after retirement when the work social contacts cease.
There are a lot of ways to stay connected to the wider community. The Coffs Harbour Community Men’s Shed is interested in hearing from you because we believe you have many skills and knowledge to share with our members.
Being a member of our Shed is a great way to get involved in your community
and work in an area that interests you.
Ken Howe has graciously put together a timeline of the "Early Days" of the Coffs Men's Shed, from inception, through to fitout and opening, followed by approx. 18 months of growth. It's an interesting read and highlights all the background work done by many hard working Rotarians and CHESS staff.
The grant of $2,500 will allow the Shed to buy a suite of specialised metalworking equipment
Nan Cowling made another generous donation today of $3,000.00. Nan has thus donated in total $20,000.00 to the Coff's Harbour Men's Shed. Given her resources, this generosity is unsurpassed and we should feel very humble and remain very very grateful.
The Coffs Harbour Council Image Library got a boost this month with help from the Men's Shed.
Shedder Ray Meyer helped developed a small software program to automatically produce named images for the OPAC library, and optimised their software to 'speed up' file manipulation over the networks.
"It's nice to give something back.."
The Men's Shed had made 2 boards with a variety of small common devices for the Coffs Harbour Hospital as a donation.Tom Skinner reported today that both boards for the rehabilitation unit at the Hospital to train fine motor skills of stroke patients are completed. Warren Sangers wife Jane has kindly painted both boards in bright colourful scenes. A big thankyou to all involved in this project.
First meeting held in new Shed.
